If registered for both baseball and softball, $30.00 is due to each assigning officer.
I have been the Assigning Officer for the Tri-Cities Baseball and Softball Umpires Association since November 2017 replacing longtime assigner Joel Pierce who retired after over 30 years of assigning.
I have been a TSSAA baseball umpire since 2002 and have represented the Tri-Cities Association at the 2008, 2011, and 2017 state tournaments and was the plate umpire for the 2017 DII-AA state championship game. I began scheduling and assigning umpires at age 17 as a junior in high school when my local Parks & Rec director put me in charge of youth baseball umpires for my hometown of Harriman, TN. I moved to Johnson City in 2001 to attend ETSU where he became involved in officiating and training officials for ETSU’s intramural program.
Away from baseball, I work full-time as Associate Director of Campus Recreation at ETSU and also officiates TSSAA football.
